Key Summary
About: You'll work with national and international researchers to design and complete an original research project in speech and language sciences. The course gives research training, advanced skills and in-depth knowledge in areas like speech‑language pathology, communication disorders, speech science and linguistics. You'll join UTS's research culture with access to supervisors, workshops, the university library and research facilities, preparing you for doctoral research or research careers.
Career Outcomes: Graduates move into academic appointments, expanded practice roles, advisory positions, and industry roles; they may work in clinical research, higher education, health services, government policy, or private sector R&D and translational research.
This course provides students with the opportunity to work with leading national and international researchers in their area of interest, and to develop and complete an original research project which contributes to knowledge in the field. Students gain research training and skills, as well as developing extensive knowledge and expertise in an area of research. Students are supported by a strong and vibrant research culture, both within the school and the university, and have access to other researchers, a wide variety of workshops, the university library and research facilities.
