With increasing globalization, mobility, and cultural flows, health problems need to be addressed from a worldwide perspective. We offer a course in Global Health for national and international students in nursing.

Health is a human right. Global health work is important because it aims to improve worldwide health, access to healthcare services and the quality of health care for all. Global health considers several determinants, or factors, that influence health. Globalisation, climate change, political conflicts, poverty, and lack of education are among the main factors.

The aim is for the students on this course to gain knowledge and an understanding of the political, socio-economic, cultural and environmental factors that affect global health. The course focuses on how nurses may contribute to and collaborate in global health strategies.
