Manage others with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
The primary aim of the this University of New York in Prague program is to blend a solid understanding of technology with business management skills. The program will prepare students for entry-level professional positions in the field of IT management in the global business and public sectors. This four-year degree is awarded by the State University of New York Empire State University.
Our approach places a great deal of emphasis on international aspects of commerce, which we believe are particularly critical in today's business environment. With our multinational faculty and student body, UNYP is in an especially strong position to provide this valuable international perspective. Unique to our program is the interactive and dynamic teaching style of our faculty. We recruit our professors from the EU and the USA, and most of them hold advanced degrees and professional experience in their fields of teaching. The theoretical and practical knowledge that you acquire in our program provides you with a wide range of options as to where you may wish to pursue your career, in terms of business and professional areas as well as geographical locality. Program Outcome
UNYP Bachelor of Information Technology graduates will gain:
- An understanding of the mechanisms in an organization and/or enterprise including management, finance, aspects of law, sales and marketing, and human resource management;
- Development of key business and management skills;
- An understanding of IT architectures and the issues, concerns and strategies related to their deployment;
- Knowledge of the processes involved in software programming and the elements involved in software development and testing to ensure its successful deployment;
- The ability to prepare, present and support IT projects in front of a critical audience;
- Complementary coursework that strengthens, enhances and expands on core business learning;
- Elective courses that allow students to deepen their interests in a variety of subject areas such as integrated marketing communications, mass media, international relations, economics, finance and accounting, literature, and psychology;
- The ability to think theoretically and analytically about contemporary issues in the global economy;
- Improved oral and written communication skills in English;
- Proficiency in using software applications and information technology for research;
- The ability to work collaboratively in teams and in a multicultural setting;
