Bachelor in Preschool Education

The study program of the first cycle - the undergraduate study of preschool education at the Faculty of Education was created according to the requirements of the Bologna Declaration and modern trends in preschool education by careful selection of subjects in the field of educational training of future preschool teachers.

The system of compulsory and elective subjects/courses in the field of education, pedagogy, psychology, language, literature, mathematics, and other interdisciplinary areas of preschool education provides students with various opportunities to acquire additional professional competencies and profiles them for successful implementation of complex programs in working with young children.

Educational work in kindergartens is carried out according to pre-prepared programs, approved by the founders of the kindergarten and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.

Competencies and employment opportunities

Bachelors/bachelors of preschool education educated at the Faculty of Education are trained to work with the youngest ages from the first to the sixth year of life, the implementation of educational activities in working with children before starting school, to introduce interdisciplinary content in working with groups of children in kindergartens, an elementary level of skills and competencies for inclusive education, and can find their employment in private and public institutions that work with children in primary education.

Due to the scientifically and professionally based curriculum, preschool students, in addition to the preschool system, can find employment in pedagogical institutes, institutions that treat children's development, as well as in other institutions that need competencies in the field of education.
