Key Summary

About : The Bachelor of Marine Engineering and Maritime Transport Technology focuses on equipping students with knowledge in marine operations, engineering principles, and maritime transport. Students engage in a comprehensive curriculum designed to cover both theoretical and practical aspects of maritime industry standards. The program prepares graduates for the technical challenges of marine transportation and engineering.
Career Outcomes : Graduates can pursue diverse roles in the maritime industry such as marine engineer, naval architect, or transportation manager. They may also find opportunities in shipbuilding, marine consultancy, or within federal maritime agencies. This degree opens pathways to engaging positions that contribute to innovations and efficiency in maritime transport.

The study program Marine Engineering and Technology Maritime Transport, at the undergraduate level, is intended for officers acquiring certification for chief engineer and second engineer officer at the management level on a ship powered by the main propulsion machinery of over 3000 kW. Students are trained to manage the complex marine energy systems, including the management of engine room crew in operation, inspection, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of marine machinery complex, by coordinating all internal and external competent entities in the exploitation process.

In all three 4 study years, attention is paid to the contents by the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, which is necessary for obtaining the highest positions in the field of maritime affairs (second engineer officer on a ship powered by the main propulsion machinery of over 3000 kW and chief engineer on a ship powered by the main propulsion machinery of over 3000 kW).
