Introduction

UWLA School of Law awards the Juris Doctor Degree to students who satisfactorily complete a minimum of 85-semester units of law study, including all required courses, with a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 on the 4.00 scale and who have met all other residency and scholastic requirements.

The State Bar of California requires that the course of study for the JD degree be completed no earlier than thirty-two months and no later than eighty-four months (7 years) after a student has commenced study at UWLA or a law school from which UWLA has accepted transfer credit.
