Would you like to learn how firms – both Multinational (MNEs) and Small & Medium (SMEs) Enterprises – can operate fruitfully in the international context? Our Master's Degree might be the right choice for you.
The IEBA program is designed for you to learn how firms – both Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) and Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) – can operate successfully in the international context.
In our program you will spend the first year studying International Economics and Quantitative Methods, while in the second year you will specialize in Business Administration, with a special emphasis on Entrepreneurship, spending time at partner firms for an internship and/or thesis as well.
During your two-year study period, you will attend courses in three different European universities, and spend the last semester in any of the three (or in a different one, if you decide so).

IEBA is delivered by an international partnership of higher education institutions. The Triple Degree Program usually covers a two-year period in which 120 ECTS will be acquired, and it is currently organized in two mobility tracks: a Business-oriented track and an Economic-oriented track. Students of both tracks will start the program in the first semester at the University of Verona. For the second and third semester, students will attend classes either in the track Porto/Bamberg (Business-oriented track) or in the track Bordeaux/Bamberg (Economic-oriented track). In the fourth semester, students will write a thesis with two supervisors from two different universities in their track.
During your MSc IEBA, you will explore diverse international economics and business administration issues to develop into a dynamic international manager, able to operate in fast-changing global economic environment.

Our teaching methods are grounded in contemporary academic research, with a strong emphasis on addressing the practical challenges faced by firms operating in a global environment.
You will extend your knowledge and intellectual abilities from your first degree through an academically rigorous course of study, in which in the first year you will learn the trade and tricks of international economies and firms operating successfully via import-export, foreign direct investment and global value chains. Informed by the latest academic and professional developments, you will build the skills, competencies and personal attributes of a manager in international economics and business administration.

Key themes
In international environments, firms and organizations can thrive in different national contexts in a range of ways. The curriculum themes and learning materials represent a diversity of global contexts and perspectives. The teaching focuses on the current real-world global issues facing international firms.
You will explore international economics and trade, cross-border investments, global value chains and internationalization, global entrepreneurship and international strategy. You will learn how to study the changing nature of the international business environment and how it can impact firms. You will be prepared for the diversity and complexity of a globally integrated and internationally focused business environment.
You’ll acquire essential skills in project management, business analysis, problem-solving and teamwork – learning how to present information and critically evaluate issues as you collaborate and problem-solve in teams.
Real-world projects
You will develop practical managerial skills by interacting with firms, starting with business presentations in class, with an internship and thesis opportunities in partner firms. You will have the chance to enhance your communication and business awareness, which is particularly beneficial to international students in terms of business engagement and group work skills development.
Key teaching modules make use of business guest lecturers to give practical focus and effective insights into the issues facing real-world firms. Former students and Alumni may also refer to their experience, giving students a sense of their path towards the job market.
You will also self-reflect and develop skills that may boost your future professional development. Business (soft) skills, such as interpersonal, intercultural capabilities, team working and presentation – will complement academic skills such as data acquisition, analysis, academic writing and research.
Networking opportunities
You will take part in careers days, consultancy projects and guest lectures, plus the possibility of networking with former students. You will be able to develop areas to focus on in your thesis, internship or project elective, which you can link to your career aspirations.
Field trips
You may be able to attend field trips to firms in France, Germany, Italy and Portugal (or elsewhere) – from local small and medium sized enterprises to multinational firms – giving you a sense of the types of workplaces you could be working in.
