Introduction

The 'Coordination and management of educational services' study course is a Master's degree course of the LM-50 class (Planning and management of educational services) which, pursuant to article 1, paragraph 595 of Law 205/2017, allows to obtain the qualification of 'pedagogist' and, more specifically, promotes the training of expert top figures in the field of educational, training and personal care services in various formal, non-formal and informal contexts. From the point of view of academic curricula, it is configured as the natural continuation of the three-year study courses in the L-19 class (Education and training sciences) which instead qualify professional socio-pedagogical educators and early childhood services . If the latter profiles mainly have operational tasks, i.e. they are those who implement the educational intervention, the pedagogist, on the other hand, is mainly configured as an expert in management and coordination: it is therefore a complex and multi-faceted figure, capable of reading and interpreting the complexity of educational work, of territories, of social emergencies and able to develop proposals for intervention through services. His action focuses on the subject-person, understood in a holistic sense and in the different ages of life, within the broader framework of the welfare system and personal services.

The course of study is not limited to access but involves the verification of the students' personal preparation through an initial interview aimed at evaluating the qualification, the presence of certain scientific-disciplinary sectors in their educational path, professional experiences and the English language. .

The educational path of the course of study is divided into a single curriculum where the organization of teaching is divided into disciplinary and laboratory teachings which allow you to combine the theoretical dimension with the more specifically practical-operational one. The main element of the master's course is the internship, which is configured as a key tool for connecting theory and practice: in the architecture of the course it is considered the appropriate space in which one can assume the reflective habitus and develop one's professional identity. Since the figure of the LM-50 graduate pertains to a top professionalism and high planning, coordination and reporting competence, the internship as a whole aims to achieve broad-spectrum objectives, linked in particular to the experimentation of planning and research actions , monitoring, mapping of territories, networking with other local bodies and services. For these reasons, it provides a total of 300 hours of activity, equal to 12 ECTS, and guarantees students the opportunity to link the experience to the drafting of the final degree thesis.

Finally, internationalization opportunities are guaranteed by the implementation of exchanges already in place within the three-year study course in Educational Sciences. International mobility programs are already active with the universities of Darmstadt (Germany), Oviedo, Murcia, Bilbao and Granada (Spain), Coimbra (Portugal); other training activities of an international nature are then guaranteed by the initiatives promoted within the Erasmus+ KA2 projects managed by the department's pedagogues.
