About: This MEd in Digital Pedagogy develops educators’ professional practice in tertiary and higher education digital environments. You’ll analyze theory, create and evaluate digital learning resources, and build research skills and ethical awareness. The part-time online programme runs via the university’s virtual learning environment (VLE) with an optional face-to-face induction. Reflective learning is central; take modules for CPD or progress to PgCert, PgDip, or MEd. Staff and postgraduate researchers can use PgCert work to seek Associate Fellow or Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

Career Outcomes: Enter educational training, educational management, or pursue EdD or PhD or instructional design.

What is special about this course?

This MEd Digital Pedagogy course is designed to support the professional development of individuals working in education and training at either tertiary or higher education levels, specifically in the contemporary digital environment. The intention is to strengthen and enhance participants' understanding of digital educational issues, whilst raising their professional profiles.

You will be encouraged to discuss and analyze information from a wide range of theoretical perspectives and apply them to your professional practice. This will be focused especially on teaching and learning in the digital environment and you will be critically analyzing and creating digital educational resources. You will have the opportunity to focus your studies on an area of professional educational interest, whilst developing research skills and an understanding of ethical principles in higher education.
