About: The Master in Health Care Management trains leaders to meet changing community health needs while sustaining viable services. It accepts students without health science backgrounds who work in hospitals, LGU health centers, clinics, wellness centers, pharmaceutical firms, NGOs and social organizations. The program is two years (six trimesters) and ends with a workplace strategy paper. Founded 1946.
Career Outcomes: Graduates often move into roles such as hospital administrator, clinic manager, health services manager, healthcare consultant, NGO program manager, pharmaceutical manager and public health planner. They'll work in healthcare administration, policy, quality improvement, operations, program management and community health leadership.
This degree program intends to create health care managers and leaders who are responsive to the changing health care needs of the community yet able to do so in a viable manner. Students will not necessarily have a health science background but are working in various healthcare delivery organizations such as hospitals, LGU health centers, specialty clinics, wellness centers, pharmaceutical companies, NGOs, and social organizations.
The program can be completed over two years or six (6) trimesters, including the terminal requirement of a strategy paper, which the student can implement in the workplace.
