Introduction
The Master's Degree (MSc) in Allergy is designed for healthcare professionals who want to:
- Expand their understanding of multiple aspects of allergy
- Improve their clinical service
- Pass on your new knowledge to your colleagues, adult and pediatric patients, and their families
It is an online course that you can complete in 2 to 5 years part-time or 1 year full-time. You must take 3 mandatory learning modules but can then choose from 7 optional ones.
While studying for the MSc, you will become part of a community of allergy specialists and learn from your peers around the world. You’ll gain the confidence to influence other healthcare professionals’ practice and wider health policy.
Our courses are flexible, so you can progress to the MSc from the postgraduate certificate or diploma in Allergy, both of which require less time to complete.
If you’re a doctor, nurse, dietitian, clinical psychologist, or pharmacist working in a hospital or your community, this course will help you:
- Better understanding of the mechanisms, diagnosis, treatment, and management of allergic diseases

Admissions
Curriculum
You can complete the Masters in Allergy:
- Part time in 2 years
- Full-time in 1 year (from September to September)
To get the master's degree, you must complete and pass your dissertation and:
- The core modules ‘Foundations of Allergic Disease’ and 'Clinical Research Skills’
- Between 4 and 7 optional modules (depending on their size)
Each module is taught only once a year and typically involves approximately 10 hours of student engagement per week.
Modules include online teaching sessions and pre-recorded lectures and presentations. You should attend the online teaching sessions so you can engage in insightful and rewarding discussions with your teachers and fellow students. Our pre-recorded sessions allow you to learn at your convenience within each teaching week. Most of our students continue to work while studying and benefit from this flexibility.
