Introduction
Master of Business Economics: International Business
The Faculty of Economics Rijeka (EFRI) is the first Faculty of Economics in Croatia to offer university study programs in English. Since the academic year 2011/12, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Rijeka offers a 3-year university undergraduate study program in Business Economics โ โInternational Businessโ, which from 2014/15 extended to an additional 2-year university graduate study program.
The completion of a graduate study program leads to the academic title: Master of Business Economics.
Teaching is conducted in accordance with the study curricula which includes student internship (as an elective course). This enables students flexibility in shaping the study content according to their abilities and interests. In addition to regular academic content, our programs develop studentsโ connectivity and understanding of global experiences and Croatian economic practices.
Alongside our teachers, teachers from foreign universities and well-known experts from the industry and public administration are engaged as visiting lecturers in the teaching activity. Our students are strongly encouraged to apply for mobility programs in order to experience studies at our partner Universities across Europe (and beyond), as well as international internships, which are crucial for modern graduates, especially in the field of International Business.

Admissions
Program Outcome
Students studying and completing a university graduate study program offered by the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka, will acquire competencies and skills important and needed in their future career as MAs in Business Economics. These include competencies in analysis, synthesis and complex problem solving in issues related to economics and business economics; development of critical thinking, possibility of self and associative learning, flexibility and adaptability, capability to apply research methods and procedures to creative problem solving in institutions and enterprises, their organization and management as well as the ability to perform highly qualified jobs in the field of economics and business, i.e. the development and implementation of expertise and achievement into practice.
