Introduction

The Academy of Physical Education offers third-cycle (doctoral) studies in the field of physical education. A person with a master's degree or an equivalent degree may be admitted to studies. They are addressed primarily to graduates of master's studies in physical education, tourism and recreation, and physiotherapy. It is therefore assumed that the student will have knowledge in the field of specific sciences about physical culture at the level of second-cycle studies. Graduates of other faculties can supplement their knowledge by participating, as free learners, in selected classes at Bachelor's or Master's studies at the University (in the case of classes, the consent of the teacher).

The aim of the doctoral studies is to promote highly qualified scientific staff of physical culture by equipping the doctoral student with advanced knowledge in the field of physical culture sciences and skills enabling independent research and presentation of their results, as well as the implementation of the educational process at the academic level and preparation for obtaining a doctoral degree physical culture sciences.
