The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Pécs offers a BA in German Studies, specializing in German as a Minority Language. The students acquire knowledge in the areas of the German language, literature, and culture and develop skills in intercultural communication. Students specializing in German as a minority language also learn about the history, language use, folk culture, and literature of the Hungarian Germans.

The courses are mainly held in small groups, which enables individual support for the students. A lot of value is placed on methodological diversity, there are seminars, exercises, and tutorials, opportunities for group work, and the development of projects.
