Whether programming software in Java, debugging code, maintaining information security, or developing responsive websites in PHP, students in the computer science degree program at UNG learn the skills to program in multiple languages, develop databases and infrastructure, and think critically.
Concentration in Information Assurance and Security (IAS)
Computer Science majors may declare a concentration in Information Assurance and Security (IAS). The required courses for the concentration are the following four electives:
- CSCI 3050 - Information Security
- CSCI 3250 - Computer Security
- CSCI 3350 - Computer Forensics
- CSCI 4650 - Network Security
