University of Mississippi

The University of Mississippi, commonly known as Ole Miss, is the flagship public university of the state of Mississippi. Founded in 1848 and located in Oxford, it is the state's oldest public institution of higher learning. Ole Miss offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs through its various schools and colleges, including liberal arts, business, education, engineering, journalism, and the renowned Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. It also houses the state’s only law school and medical school, the latter of which is located at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
