Key Summary
Introduction
The aim of this program is to train environmental engineers with up-to-date knowledge in natural sciences, earth sciences, engineering, economics, and management. One specialization focuses on identifying and evaluating potential environmental hazards and preventing or reducing the impact and risk of environmental threats, as well as managing the damage control projects. The other specialization trains professionals for the circular economy, focusing on recycling technologies and processes.

Career Opportunities
Environmental engineers from the remediation and environmental geotechnics specialization will be able to work on advanced level technical solutions and apply them to prevent contamination of the environment. They are trained in contaminated site remediation, and risk assessment, planning and operating monitoring systems, carrying out impact assessments and environmental protection reviews, and producing impact studies.
Graduates of the waste management specialization will be capable of designing and operating waste management and treatment systems, planning and implementing tasks related to waste treatment and disposal, and designing landfills and waste recycling facilities.

Eligibility criteria
- Applicants must possess non-Hungarian citizenship,
- Applicants must have submitted a fully completed application to one of the UM study programs (BSc, MSc, PhD) directly via the DreamApply application interface.
Amount of the scholarship
30% of the paid tuition fee.

- Applicants submit their scholarship application via the DreamApply platform of the University of Miskolc as part of the university application.

- School leaving exam certificate/degree and transcripts of records,
- IFSP Motivation Letter, which details how the academic and research activities of the applicant as a UM student will contribute to enhancing the reputation of the university, and how the applicant as a UM student plans to support recruitment and internationalization activities of the university in their home countries.
