Program Information
The Graduate Certificate in Public Health Training provides individuals with the skills required for a career in a public health setting, integrating the four core areas of public health with practical applications for public health practice and preparedness. The twelve (12) credit curriculum is affiliated with the MPH degree and consists of the four core courses that are required of all MPH graduates. Students will learn the foundational theories and methods of epidemiology, biostatistics, health behavior, and health policy.
The Certificate also offers working public health professionals a flexible and convenient option for advancing their foundational public health knowledge, providing this knowledge to those professionals who may not be ready to fully commit to a traditional Master of Public Health (MPH) degree.
Those interested in the possibility of pursuing the Master of Public Health may use this program as a steppingstone towards completion of the MPH degree.
