The new Master of Social Sciences program in Territorial Studies recognizes its origin, development, and evolution in the Master of Social Sciences Mention in Process Studies and Development of Regional Societies dictated since 2000 by ULAGOS.

During 2019-2020 we reformulated the program, with special emphasis on redefining its lines of research, updating curricula, and strengthening its articulation with the Doctorate in Social Sciences in Territorial Studies.

We founded our new program on the idea that the possibilities of regional development depend on the multiple and complex relationships between the various actors (State, Market, Civil Society, Academic Sector, others) and their territory. These relationships are characterized by configuring spaces for cooperation and conflict around the access and use of territories as a mosaic of relational, material, and symbolic elements that make the participation of the Social Sciences necessary in the analysis and co-construction of the processes. developmental.
