Put public health principles into effect in a variety of settings including research, practice, policy, and at the interface of applied research.
With a specific focus on public health economics and policy at a population level, this Master of Public Health (MPH) – Health Economics and Policy is ideal if you are working in health services management, policy and planning housing, transport, community groups or governmental organisations.
The programme’s specialist focus on current public health priorities in low income countries explores the relationship between strategic health planning and policy formation. You will also critically evaluate governmental and market healthcare activities, and the behaviour of consumers and organisations in these healthcare markets. The knowledge you will gain will enable you to apply economic principles to health financing activities and mechanisms using different methods of economic evaluation.
Programme delivery takes place via the virtual learning platform, enabling you to pursue the modules in your own time, within the timeframe of each module. In addition, students on the programme are from a global community with multidisciplinary backgrounds allowing for a global exchange of knowledge.

This programme consists of the following modules. You are required to complete 180 credits to achieve a full Master of Public Health (Online) – Global Health and 120 credits to achieve the postgraduate diploma (PGDip).

- Health, Economics, and Governance (10 credits)
- Core research methods module (choose one from):
