Introduction

The Master's degree in Occupational Psychology and Ergonomics (PTE) trains occupational psychologists and ergonomists-occupational psychologists who specialize in individual, collective and organizational intervention and support, in connection with issues of skills development, health, employment and work.

Based on complementary approaches in Occupational Psychology, Differential Psychology, Social Psychology, and Ergonomics, this course aims to develop professional knowledge and practices that enable occupational psychologists and graduate ergonomists-occupational psychologists to support individuals and organizations in a profoundly changing world of work, while taking a critical and ethical look at the interventions implemented work.

This course consists of two Options (COAT and ICE), which allow graduates to further specialize in Psychology or Ergonomics during the M2 year.

  • The Counselling, Guidance and Support for Transitions (COAT) option trains occupational psychologists who can work in companies as well as in public or semi-public organizations on various activities such as recruitment, guidance support, professional mobility and career management advice, human resources management in companies, training and professional development. The philosophy of this option is to favor a broad approach to the different dimensions of human work to facilitate the professional adaptation of graduates to job opportunities. The articulation of the internship(s) and the practical teaching carried out by professionals allows the student to mobilize knowledge in the context of the main professional applications in occupational psychology. It also provides the student with methods and tools and develops her own capacity for analysis and reflection.
  • The Intervention and Project Management in Ergonomics Option* (ICE) trains ergonomists and occupational psychologists responsible for designing and transforming work, life or use situations in order to achieve results in terms of comfort, health and safety of individuals and groups, and the efficiency of systems and organizations. Graduates will thus be able to carry out interventions and lead projects on issues and in various fields (working and working conditions; health; risk prevention and assessment; integration and retention of workers with disabilities; reliability and performance of technical and/or organizational systems; design of processes, machines, systems, etc.). etc.).

* The PTE-ICE Option meets the training criteria defined by the College of Teacher-Researchers in Ergonomics (CE2) for obtaining the "Certified Junior Ergonomist" certification, and meets the training criteria for the European Ergonomist title option.
