Our teaching methods
Online Masters and postgraduate courses with the University of Leeds include:
- regular engagement with Leeds academics in webinars and discussion forums,
- eight-week module blocks to support flexible learning around other commitments,
- assessment information provided at the start of the course so you can plan your time,
- engaging learning activities directly relevant to professional development, supported with online textbooks, academic journal articles, industry expert videos, and opportunities to collaborate with others,
- formative assessment to provide ongoing feedback and check your understanding,
- discussion forums for you to engage with other learners from around the world,
- assessments consisting of coursework, projects, presentations, quizzes, and exercises. There are no monitored exams.

Technology should not be a barrier to online learning. We’ll provide you with a student IT induction, covering essentials such as your login, security, and connecting remotely before you begin your course.
Our team of experts at the IT Service Desk will be on hand to support you with any IT issues you may have with University systems.
