Introduction

Undergraduate study programme in Economics lasts four years (8 semesters) and contains 240ECTS in humanities, resulting in a Bachelor of Economics degree. This study programme aims to educate the experts possessing knowledge and skills as required by job positions that require the basic knowledge in economics. There are two modules within this study programme: General Economics and Finances and Stock Exchange and Banking. These modules are selected following the completion of the first year of studies.

The purpose of this study programme is to educate students of economics at an undergraduate level, providing them with competencies related to economic analysis and politics, monetary politics and analysis, public finances, banking, financial institutions, etc. A contemporary study programme such as this one enables students to perform successfully in the positions requiring them to demonstrate knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for creating economic policy, both at micro and macro levels, conducting analyses and planning within enterprises, banks, insurance companies, public institutions, as well as making decisions important for the international economy. Upon completion of this programme, students can provide a significant contribution to the overall functioning of the national economic system and its constituent elements.
