About: The BCom Hons in Industrial Psychology at the University of Johannesburg equips you with applied knowledge of human behavior at work, combining theory and practice to develop skills and critical reasoning. You’ll study industrial-organizational psychology, organizational behavior, people management and people analytics. UJ’s multicultural campus, First Year Experience and Senior Student Experience orient you to study and work; sports, student centers and on-campus health and protection services support wellbeing, career readiness.

Career Outcomes: Graduates can work in human resources, organizational development, talent management, recruitment, employee relations and occupational psychology, or pursue research and consultancy in workplace wellbeing and performance.

The purpose of the BCom Hons in Industrial Psychology is to empower students to acquire knowledge and develop an understanding of industrial psychology as an applied science that focuses on human behavior in the context of work. Industrial psychology entails the application of psychological theories, principles, and practices to optimize individual, group, and organizational well-being and effectiveness. This qualification provides a combination of theoretical and practical learning content to equip students with adequate knowledge, skills, and critical reasoning capabilities to enter the field of people management.
