University of Inland Norway

INN University offers a wide range of study options available in English, including bachelor's and master's degrees. Our programmes cover subjects such as ecology, game technology and design, business analytics, digital communication, biotechnology, and biomedicine. Each study program is based at either Campus Evenstad, Hamar, or Lillehammer.

Why do you need to register for the semester?

A completed semester registration is a prerequisite for:

• being registered as an active student
• get a loan from the Lånekassen
• gaining access to the university's ICT-services (including Studentweb and Canvas)
• getting to take the exam
• having the right to vote in elections to the university's and students' governing bodies
• gaining access to library services and to the community's welfare services

You complete your semester registration in Studentweb.

New student this semester?

If you have been admitted to studies for the spring of 2026, you will receive an email with information about semester registration and the semester fee. Emails will be sent out starting December 1st.

It is not possible to register for the semester before you have received the email.

There are different regulations according to your nationality and the duration of your stay at our university.

Dual citizenship

Students with an EU/EEA passport and a non-EU/EEA passport need to either:

• Complete the registration as an EU/EEA citizen, or
• apply for a residence permit as a non-EU/EEA citizen.

The residence permit application must include the same nationality as the one used in the application to INN.

At INN University, you get to enjoy beautiful natural surroundings as well as close-knit communities with students and teachers.
