Introduction

BA Minorities & Multilingualism

Our BA program Minorities & Multilingualism trains you to become such a diversity manager.You will learn about the languages, cultures, history, and politics of the world's ethnolinguistic minorities.You will also learn how to conduct research into themes related to minorities and multilingualism.

Our three-year program consists of a diverse combination of courses in linguistics, political and cultural history, and social sciences.All these courses deal with various topics: minorities, migration, diversity management, and multilingualism.You can also choose to learn the regional Frisian language, which is often used as a case study in the lectures.

You learn to thoroughly research these topics and to reflect on them critically.In addition, you will become proficient in devising solutions, making recommendations and writing policy advice that can help organizations and communities deal better with cultural and linguistic diversity.
