PhD Course in the Area of Drugs and Innovative Treatments
The general educational objectives of the Doctorate in the Area of Drugs and Innovative Treatments are aimed at preparing researchers who are experts in the field of drugs and health products with a view to possible insertion, once the qualification has been acquired, in both public and private work environments.
The doctorate is organized in two curricula, "Pharmaceutical Sciences" and "Pharmacology, Toxicology and Innovative Treatments", which are coordinated with common courses that allow for an in-depth study of the problems inherent to drugs, from design, synthesis and analysis to the experimental definition of actions. pharmacological and therapeutic up to clinical pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology.
Each PhD student is supported by a Scientific Tutor and a Theoretical Tutor. The Scientific Tutor provides for the insertion of the PhD student in a Research Unit of the Department where he will carry out his research activity and will acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge and experimental methodologies necessary for the preparation of the Doctoral Thesis. The Theoretical Tutor agrees annually with the doctoral student on the training activity .
