Introduction
This 100% online and part-time MSc Infection Control has been specifically designed for health professionals who have an infection control role within their workplace, but it is also open to anyone with an interest in this area. The fundamental underpinning of this Masters is that prevention is better than a cure and this will hopefully make outbreaks a thing of the past.
Through this online Masters, you will gain the latest knowledge of infection control practices as well as the ability to implement strategies to reduce the spread of infection and respond appropriately to an outbreak within a community. On completion of your studies, you will be well-equipped to advise policymakers and clinicians on matters relating to infection control.

Assessment methods
All assessments are delivered through our virtual learning environment (VLE). There is no requirement to travel to external test centres or to sit exams! Instead, you will submit assignments through the VLE, such as written reports, discussion forum participation or reflective journal entries.
We also have a policy of ensuring that the work submitted by students is authentic – we use a well-established electronic monitoring system to check for plagiarism.
