Nowadays, effective protection of data is the principal factor that guarantees secure development. By choosing this up-to-date degree program in the field of Cybersecurity, you will learn how to always stay one step ahead of the looming digital threats.
You will acquire such skills as evaluating the security level, preparing and preventing cyberattack scenarios, administering systems in order to detect incidents of a security breach, establishing the principles of functioning of the main encryption tools, and many others. Scholarships and Funding
While studying at UEHS, you can take advantage of a wide range of financial support from the state budget and European funds, as well as benefit from special discounts with the UEHS discount program.
Scholarship
The scholarship may be awarded to any student who obtained an average grade not lower than 4.5 in an academic year given.
In the academic year 2020/2021, the University of Economics and Humanities in Warsaw awarded 292 Rector’s Scholarships, ranging from PLN 450 /month to PLN 650 /month, depending on the average or achievements. For outstanding sports, artistic or scientific achievements, the Scholarship Committee awarded scholarships of PLN 450 /month.
Sports scholarships
A sports scholarship may be awarded to a student who excels in sports achievements at least national level. In addition, we also encourage our students to take part in additional support programs- e.g., the National Academic Representation.
Young sportsmen can count on financial support in the amount of PLN 450 /month.
Special scholarships for disabled people
A scholarship for people with disabilities may be awarded to a student who has a disability certificate, a disability degree certificate, a ZUS certifying physician’s certificate, a disability group certificate, or a certificate of permanent or long-term incapacity to work on a farm.
In the 2020/2021 academic year, depending on the degree of disability, 79 scholarships for people with disabilities were awarded, ranging from PLN 800 /month to PLN 1000 /month.
Allowances
An allowance is a form of emergency financial assistance. Any student who finds himself temporarily in a difficult life situation resulting from random events beyond the student’s control can apply for it.
The allowance may be granted twice in one academic year, and the allowance is not granted twice for the same random event. Difficult life situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are an exception.
In 2020, we granted 64 allowances for a total of PLN 113,200.50. The allowances, depending on the student’s situation, were paid in the amount of PLN 1,000 to PLN 2,500 at a time.
Curriculum
The program of the studies includes the basic knowledge and skills in the field of Computer Studies, as well as specialized classes in Cybersecurity. The program of the University of Economics and Human Sciences guarantees that as early on as in the first semester you will already start to gain unique skills and knowledge of Cybersecurity so that you can become an excellent specialist in the shortest time possible. The program is focused on cybersecurity in IT, while additionally offering interdisciplinary skills, such as the necessary knowledge of the law, management, and security sciences.
First Year of Study
During the first year, the student is gradually introduced to the basic knowledge of Computer Studies, including basic programming. As early on as in the first term, specialized classes in Cybersecurity begin, thanks to which you will learn about the legal and social aspects of digital security.

Second Year of Study
In the second year of studies, general classes in Computer Studies are continued, but students also delve deeper into specialized subjects in the field of Cybersecurity. During this year, the classes will allow you to gain skills in the fields of software, teleinformatic, network, and data security. You will also learn the basics of cryptography. You will have your student’s practice placement, thanks to which you will be able to apply your knowledge in an authentic workplace environment under the supervision of cybersecurity specialists.

Third Year of Study
During the third year, you will continue to study specialized subjects in the field of Cybersecurity. You will learn, among others, how to design secure software, test applications for security, analyze malware and manage network and system security.

Fourth Year of Study
During the fourth year, you will finalize your study of specialized subjects. You will also conduct your own IT project and participate in a group project. In the last semester, you will prepare yourself for the diploma exam, which will award you the degree of Engineer and the well-deserved profession of a cybersecurity specialist. All you will have to do then is present your degree to the employer who will offer you the highest salary and the best work conditions.
