Introduction
The SUN Department of Law, from the academic year 2016/2017, has activated a new integrated study course with the Luigj Gurakuqi State University of Shkoder (Albania). The course offers students the opportunity to obtain a double degree, that is a double degree in law. More precisely, the course lasts five years; it includes a training course designed together with the foreign university and a mobility period abroad (1 year and a half); entails the issue, at the end of the study period, of two degree degrees in Law (double degree), one of which will be valid in Italy and the other in the country of the partner university. Therefore, for students, this new course is an unrepeatable opportunity to enrich their curriculum and present themselves in the world of work with a very peculiar and captivating training profile.
The Luigj Gurakuqi State University of Shkoder is one of the most accredited Albanian universities; almost all the teachers and the inhabitants of the city speak Italian; many speak english. The Faculty of Law is located in a modern and functional structure located in the center of the city of Shkodra which, in turn, is located a few kilometers from the sea and in an area rich in scenic and historical beauties. The city is located north of the capital Tirana, which is about an hour away. Shkodra is the seat of one of the main Albanian courts, so that it counts on numerous lawyers and notaries who work with the extensive entrepreneurial fabric that deals with international trade throughout Albania.
RECIPIENTS AND GRANTS
All interested students can enroll in the international CDL in Law activated in partnership with the State University of Shkoder: those already enrolled in the SUN Department of Law all degree courses; those coming from another university; those who enroll for the first time at the University.
For students who are already enrolled in other Degree Courses who decide to switch to the new international CDL in partnership with the University of Shkoder, personalized procedures for the recognition and validation of the exams already taken will be activated; this in order to avoid that the work already done is lost.
Those who decide to enroll in the International CDL in Law in Partnership with the University of Shkodra can apply to take advantage of the scholarships allocated annually by the SUN. Part of these scholarships are reserved for foreign students.
HEADQUARTERS AND METHOD OF CONDUCT
The Courses in Italy will take place at the offices of the SUN Department of Law, in Santa Maria Capua Vetere (CE). Likewise, the Courses in Albania will take place at the headquarters of the Department of Law of the Luigj Gurakuqi State University of Shkoder, located in the center of Shkodra. The teaching is divided, in both partner universities, in cycles of lectures with any written and / or oral tests. The exams are oral and may be preceded by a written test.
Program Outcome
The new international CDL activated in partnership with the Luigij Gurakuqi State University of Scutari allows enrolled students to obtain, at the end of the course, a double degree, i.e. a double master's degree in Law. In other words, these are two degree titles (double title) of which one will be valid in Italy as a Master's Degree in Law, and the other in Albania as a Scientific Master's Degree in Law. Naturally, both titles can be spent internationally in the euro area or outside the EU.
Therefore, the new international CDL aims to train a class of professionals who can access the legal professions in the partner countries and in the euro area; and who can present themselves on the labor market in the field of international trade - especially between Italy and the Balkan countries - as particularly expert and experienced legal professionals. In fact, the CDL in question provides for a period of study abroad (a year and a half) and a period of professional internship in the country of origin.
Finally, among the educational objectives of the international CDL SUN/Statale of Scutari there is also the learning of foreign languages since the enrolled students, in addition to the languages of the two partner countries, will be able to perfect their knowledge of English as both Departments (Italian and Albanian) offer courses in English.
