Key Summary
The ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business and Management is 120 Credits at Level 5 and is equivalent to the 2nd year of a Bachelor's degree. Learners who complete this qualification can progress directly on to the final year of a Bachelor’s Degree.
Learners will take 4 mandatory units worth 60 credits plus a further 4 optional units totalling 120 credits.
Progression on to the Final Year of the Bachelor’s Degree
On successful completion of the Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business and Management students can progress to the final year of a Bachelor’s Degree (Top-Up).
The progression options are available as a result of a collaborative agreement between the University of Bolton and WINC Online.
The Top-Up Degree is offered through synchronous online learning which uses state of the art lecture technology in place of a traditional classroom, allowing access to classes from anywhere in the world!

Entry Requirements
- Prior study in business, the management or related subjects at level 4 or above.
- A Level 4 qualification, for example, an ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Business and Management or an ATHE Level 4 Diploma in Business and Administrative Management.
- Other equivalent international qualifications.
- Learners must also have an appropriate standard of English to enable them to access relevant resources and complete the unit assignments.
Online Learning
This programme is offered on a rolling basis through self-study and remote Tutor support, this mode of study requires self-discipline and motivation to ensure the monthly deadlines are adhered to. We aim to support you to complete this programme in 8 months on average (though it may be longer if the target dates are not met).
You will be given access to the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) which contains all the resources required to study each topic and then complete the Assessment Tasks.
There is a mixture of formative and summative assessments to allow you to check your progress at the end of each section. You will be provided with Tutor contact details and they are on hand throughout your programme to ensure all your queries and uncertainties are answered promptly.
