Introduction
The international curriculum in Arts, Museology and Curatorship (AMaC) is aimed at exploring the arts and their histories in relation with the ongoing transformations of museums, exhibitions and the role of the curator, in an international and cross-cultural perspective.
• Visual Arts, cultural organisations, architecture, urban and territorial forms are analysed in relation to the evolution of contemporary social, political, legislative, technological and environmental issues.
• Exhibitions, museums, galleries and alternative creative spaces are presented to highlight their relations to contexts and publics, and their aspiration to become places for an inclusive community.
• Forms of production, promotion, circulation of and access to cultural heritage and museums’ reconsideration of their function and agenda are considered, also in view of sustainability-related emergencies and the increasing pervasiveness of digital infrastructures, media and the internet.
Teachings also include project-bound Labs which combine theoretical inquiry and project practice, in order to promote teamwork.
