The International Master’s degree in Global Cultures is an entirely English-taught program that equips students from diverse backgrounds with the tools and skills to gain an in-depth understanding of the historical dimensions of globalization. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the program examines the political, economic, and cultural phenomena that have connected different areas of the world throughout history. It utilizes spatial and conceptual categories that transcend those traditionally employed by national and imperial historiographies. This approach enables students to develop critical global and non-Eurocentric perspectives for analyzing contemporary realities.
The program is open to students from various disciplines, including history, social anthropology, political thought, and geography. It is particularly suitable for those interested in understanding the historical dimension of global cultural processes and transnational cultural dynamics and developing a global and interdisciplinary perspective on contemporary cultural issues.
