Graduate of Master Program of Fisheries and Marine Biotechnology will have one of the following capabilities such as:

• Decision Maker: Capable of justifying the health status of aquatic biota through the implementation of biotechnology.
• Researcher: Capable of developing fisheries and marine biotechnology in improving the quality of fishery products.
• Manager: Capable of developing fisheries and marine biotechnology in improving the quality of fishery products.
• Planer: Capable of planning biotechnology development and sustaining fishery commodities.

The graduate learning outcome of this study program as outlined on the graduate competitiveness standard consists of three aspects namely attitude, knowledge, and skills including general and specific skills.

General Skill

1. Capable of developing logical, critical, systematic, and creative thinking through scientific research, design or art of science and technology that implements humanistic aspect based on their expertise, synthesize scientific concept and study based on the role and ethical aspects in the form of master thesis published in an accredited journal;
2. Capable of validating academic or studies relating their expertise in solving problems faced by relevant societies or industries through developing their expertise;
3. Capable of initiating the scientific idea, thought, and arguments responsibly and based on academic ethics, then disseminate through media for academic and societies in general;
4. Capable of identifying relevant knowledge becoming their research object and connecting to the research map developed through interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary approaches;

Major of Aquatic Biota Health Biotechnology

1. Capable of analyzing aquatic biota health based on biotechnology to intensify the disease-free- marine and aquaculture products quality.
2. Capable of analyzing kinds of diseases in fish by using the appropriate molecular diagnostic techniques.
3. Capable of creating quality preventive methods in developing biotechnology-based aquaculture.
4. Capable of developing aquatic biota engineering that is resistant to pathogenic infection and environmental changes.
5. Capable of developing biotechnological preventive and curative methods towards pathogens in aquatic biota.

Major of Aquaculture Biotechnology

1. Capable of developing disease-free broodstock and seeds of aquatic biota quality through aquaculture engineering.
2. Capable of conducting aquatic environment quality in supporting aquaculture biotechnology.
3. Capable of arranging biotechnology-based aquatic biota aquaculture to intensify aquaculture and fisheries production.
4. Capable of creating formulation and fish feed technology supporting aquaculture intensification.

Major of Fisheries Product Biotechnology

1. Capable of developing chemical analysis to support fisheries product quality.
2. Capable of analyzing the role of bioactive compounds from the aquatic organisms by using biological and clinical evaluation to develop fisheries industry.
3. Capable of developing fishery industry based on biotechnology in supporting quality fisheries products.
4. Capable of developing concepts of biotechnology-based industry.

Knowledge

1. Capable of mastering theory and science of aquatic biota health, aquaculture biotechnology, and fishery product biotechnology in accordance with science philosophy.
2. Capable of mastering applied theory for the development of aquatic biota biotechnology, aquaculture biotechnology, and fishery product biotechnology that is beneficial for communities and science.
