Introduction

Master of Science (MSc)

The Master of Science programme is designed for individuals who aspire to become researchers in the field of business management. However, graduates of this programme can also work as business executives or managers in both the public and private sectors.

Students will be exposed to the relevant theories and critical research issues in their respective areas of specialisation. Each student is required to conduct a research study and complete a thesis detailing the research objectives, literature reviewed, the research design, data analysis and findings of the research. The student has to prepare and defend his/her research proposal before being allowed to continue his/her research and completion of his/her thesis.

Students in the Master of Science programme can specialise in any one of the following:

  • Management
  • Finance
  • Human Resource Management
  • Marketing
  • Accounting



PERIOD OF STUDY

The period of study ranges from 4 semesters (2 years) to 6 semesters (3 years).


CLASSES AND STUDENT INTAKES

Classes are held on weekdays (6.30 pm - 9.30 pm) during the evenings and on Saturday afternoons (2.30 pm - 5.30 pm). There are two intakes of students in each academic year: in September (first semester) and February (second semester).
