Introduction

Would you like to work with children? Do you have a creative side and do you like working in a team? Do you want to have a positive influence and help build the society of tomorrow? Our Early Childhood Education (ECE) Diploma Program is for you!

Dynamism, patience, creativity are qualities that our students in early childhood education possess. Our graduates become educators of young children (EJE II) and their role is to promote the development of the child and to support him in his development, from birth to the age of twelve.

duration

2-year full-time program. Leads to a college diploma and the EJE II classification level.

Program overview

During this program, you will study the development of the child in all its aspects: physical, social, emotional, intellectual and language. The program touches on children's learning, but also other areas, such as their health, nutrition, and creative spirit. During each session, you will spend time in the classroom and in laboratories in premises equipped with all the necessary materials, and you will do internships in learning and childcare centers. Our program is distinguished by this important practical dimension, that is, four internships in two years in daycare services, in cities and in rural areas. A great way to build your own experience!

Topics studied include:

  • Child development
  • Diversity and inclusion
  • Enriching environment
  • Creative expression
  • Child play
  • Children's language
  • Early childhood literacy
  • Partnerships with family and community
  • Relationships and behavioral orientation
  • Child health and safety

The school has two admissions: one in September for all programs and one in January for university programs only. However, between May 1, 2022 and July 1, 2022, Canadians will still be able to register for the start of the September re-entry, while internationals will have to wait for the next re-entry, either in January 2023 or September 2023, according to their program.
