The Department of Applied Mathematics of the Universitat Politècnica de València and the departments of Algebra, Geometry and Topology, Mathematical Analysis and Applied Mathematics of the Faculty of Mathematics of the Universitat de València offer an interuniversity master's degree with an academic and research orientation that is fundamentally aimed at , to the preparation of the student with a view to the future realization of a doctoral thesis. In fact, this master's degree is the training period for the PhD in Mathematics, a UPV-UV interuniversity program with a Mention towards Excellence and, once the master's degree is completed, there is direct access to the research period of said doctoral program.

Class hours are mostly in the afternoon and there is the option of part-time enrollment.
