Introduction

The Master’s degree specialty ‘User Experience Design "(UxD) is a combination of design, computer science, and social sciences.

Pedagogy

The studies proposed are largely based on multidisciplinary teamwork. One of the particle features is to see, understand and control how technologies interact with mankind's activities. The field is conducive to the emergence of novel, ideas, and concepts that can be taken as far as a 'demonstrator'.

The specialty has close contacts with:

  • academics and industrialists
  • projects that focus on human/technology interactions
  • workshops
  • acquisition of specifics on cognition systems, multimodal technologies, CSCW, virtual/mixed/augmented realities ... ergonomics, sociology, user sociology, data analysis, enactive approaches, management and marketing of innovative products and services
  • knowledge needed to take the ideas to demonstrator level (with tools in mechatronics and computer sciences) and prototyping

Professional Openings

UxD job openings are to be found management of R&D and Innovation with technology-intensive interactions, typically with the R&&D divisions of major industrial grips, public authorities, SSII, computer science companies... graduates can also pursue to a Ph.D. level in UxD.
