Introduction
The objective of this master's degree is to train professionals with a specialized and multidisciplinary nature in the field of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering, with responsibilities in conceiving, projecting, calculating and designing processes, equipment, industrial facilities and services, in terms of quality, safety, economy, rational and efficient use of natural resources and environmental conservation.
The Master's Degree in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering aims to train professionals with a specialized and multidisciplinary nature in the field of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering. The ultimate goal is to train graduates in the profession of Chemical Engineer, with responsibilities in conceiving, projecting, calculating, and designing processes, equipment, industrial facilities, and services, in the field of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering and in related industrial sectors, in terms of quality, safety, economy, rational and efficient use of natural resources and environmental conservation. A research orientation is also considered, giving direct access to the USC PhD program in Chemical and Environmental Engineering (with the "Towards Excellence" Mention).
This Master has the international accreditation IchemE.
Curriculum
The study plan is structured around five modules within which the different subjects that comprise it are grouped and which add up to a total of 60 credits:
- Mandatory: 48
- Electives: 12
- External internships: 12
- Master's final project: 18
- Total: 60
The teaching regime is face-to-face, although 4 places are reserved for part-time enrollment.
The teaching languages will be Spanish and English.

- That students know how to communicate their conclusions and the knowledge and ultimate reasons that support them to specialized and non-specialized audiences in a clear and unambiguous way.
- That students possess the learning skills that allow them to continue studying in a way that will be largely self-directed or autonomous.

This Master's aim is to provide a set of knowledge in Chemical and Process Engineering that is sufficient for engineers or graduates to have the possibility of developing their work when joining the industry or other fields of professional activity and/or delving into specific fields of Chemical and Process Engineering that, in many cases, serve as a basis for the preparation of the doctoral thesis.
