mechanical Engineering

Description

It is the area of engineering that takes care of the development, design, construction and maintenance of machinery and equipment. The mechanical engineer develops and designs machines, equipment, vehicles, heating and cooling systems and specific tools for the mechanical industry. It also oversees its production. It calculates the necessary amount of raw material, provides molds for the parts to be manufactured, creates prototypes and tests the products obtained. It organizes storage systems, supervises processes and defines safety standards and procedures for production. Controls quality, monitoring and analyzing resistance tests, calibrating and checking measurements.

Marketplace

The UMC Mechanical Engineering course has existed for 40 years, being one of the pioneers in the state. Use of laboratories with the software most used by companies today. Partnerships with several companies such as: Parker, Autodesk, NSK, SKA, Mitutoyo, Toshiba, IWS, IBM, Behr, enabling the development of several projects supported by them.

A great differential is that it is project-oriented, in which the student develops his skills and competences in innovative projects in the mechanical area throughout the course.

This market is quite heated, mainly in automobile assemblers, auto parts and aluminum factories, as well as in industries in the petrochemical, metal-mechanical and naval production sectors. In these cases, the professional is employed to work on projects for production lines, machines and equipment and in manufacturing processes. The boom in the real estate sector, which tends to grow between 20 and 30%, increases the demand for specialists in heavy machinery, used in the construction of buildings and works in general, and for refrigeration and energy equipment, such as generators and hydraulic turbines.
