Introduction

International relations

Description

In 1974, the first course in International Relations appeared in Brazil. Originally a professional trained in International Relations, the internationalist aimed at a diplomatic career, looking at the international market as an area to be explored by his country's foreign policies.

In the 21st century, with the great opening of global markets, companies are "attacked" by international competition at the same time that they have opportunities to explore new markets. UMC's new International Relations course aims at training a business "ambassador" - the INTERNATIONALIST -, who is responsible for creating and implementing a competitive edge, exploring business opportunities on the international scene for Brazilian companies, alongside this same professional (Internationalist) could be the initial connection of a foreign company that wants to settle in Brazil or even enter the Brazilian market.

The practical part is developed from the first semester with the PIC (Consolidated Interdisciplinary Project) in which the student, working in teams, develops business projects in companies or even researching new business opportunities in the market.

Marketplace

AREA OF PRACTICE OF THE INTERNATIONALIST

  • a) Foreign Trade and Trading Companies operating Import, Export, Warehousing and integrated global logistics;
  • b) Companies providing services in the international market, such as consultancy for the Brazilian market, certification of products intended for the international market, etc.;
  • c) Banks, Financial Market in general (Stock Exchanges, Brokers, Investment Funds);
  • d) Automotive industry, component industry, digital and telecommunications industry in general, logistics operators, airlines, maritime and multimodal companies, international certifiers (ISO, environmental, etc.);
  • e) Construction companies and companies linked to civil construction processes, such as architecture and structural calculation companies, the door, door frame, window and wooden components, aluminum, PVC and new ecologically correct materials with lower environmental data;
  • f) Non-profit international and national organizations, such as the UN, Green-Peace, Red Cross, Municipal, State or Federal Ministries, Trade and Industry Associations.

Differentials

Upon completing 40 (2009) years in its main courses in the business area (Administration and Accounting Sciences) UMC once again assumes its role as a leader and entrepreneur in the Educational sector of the State of Sรฃo Paulo.

Adopting the concept of business school (used by the great American universities like Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Princeton and Columbia), through an Agreement signed with the Federal Council of Economics, the internationalist formed by UMC, in just a few additional semesters (depending on of the analysis of the Academic Transcript), you can also obtain a diploma in Business Administration or Accounting Sciences.

The international crisis of 2008 once again showed the importance of the Internationalist. Brazil has stood out as a stable and modern country: the main initiatives for new world investments have Brazil as one of the main partners. In this scenario, job opportunities in the area of international business are increasing, with a forecast that the market will continue to grow in the coming years. Both Brazilian and international companies have opened vacancies for internationalists, either as an intern, at the beginning of their career (newly graduated) or full (Junior or Senior).
