Master in Design

The Master in Design of the University of Aveiro, now renewed (2nd cycle of training), aims to provide students with critical awareness and creative capacity, leading to a competent professional practice of Design.

The curricular plan presents itself with a common core, which through the combination of optional CUs (A, B and C), will allow students to have a more generalist or more specialised training. Its cycle of studies, maintaining the scientific subareas of Drawing (DES), Communication Design (DSCO), Industrial Design (DSIN) and Design Studies (EDS), will allow specialisation in:

  • Design
  • Communication design
  • Interaction design
  • Food design
  • Design for health
  • Design and patrimony

Design research at the University of Aveiro is supported by its research teachers integrated in the ID+ Institute for Research in Design, Media and Culture and by the support and research workshops of the Department of Communication and Art.
