Doctorate in Chemistry
The Doctoral Program in Chemistry aims to train doctorates who:
- Have a systematic and elevated understanding of the chemical sciences and a solid grasp of the working and research methods associated with their research topic;
- Have the capacity for critical analysis and evaluation in new and complex situations;
- Have the ability to define strategies, develop and apply methodologies for solving new problems;
- Have the ability to design, implement and develop a relevant research project in chemical sciences with rigor and integrity;
- Have a relevant contribution to widen the frontiers of knowledge in chemical sciences, worthy of publication in international journals;
- Be able to effectively communicate ideas about their field of expertise with their peers, with the academic community and with society in general;
- Have developed skills suitable for professional practice as senior chemists in the chemical industry, public services, or in the academic career.
- Be able to promote scientific and technological advances, in an academic and / or professional context, in a knowledge-based society.
