It has more than 35 areas of expertise recognized by the Federal Council of Biomedicine. Of these areas of activity, two stand out mainly: teaching/research and Clinical Analysis. Teaching in postgraduate, master's and doctoral courses. Research can be basic (such as molecular biology or immunology) or clinically applied research (such as human reproduction).
