Key Summary
Introduction
5 years of study. Two Bachelor's degrees. Endless career opportunities!
The Double Degree in Law and Management program is the result of a partnership between the Faculty of Law and Católica Porto Business School and allows the completion of two distinct degrees (one in Law and one in Management) in a total of 10 semesters.
Thus, it enables access to all professions related to the area of Law and Management : access to the Portuguese Bar Association, exercise of tax and financial consultancy, corporate law, analysis, planning and structuring of operations, contracting and negotiation, financial auditing, regulation, corporate services and institutional relations.
Law and Management: two areas that complement each other
The Double Degree allows Law graduates to acquire business vision and sensitivity to the organizational world, enhancing their ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, which require knowledge, sensitivity and coordination of both areas.
In turn, the Double Degree prepares graduates in Management to master fundamental legal frameworks and instruments and to consider the interdisciplinary nature of the challenges faced by organizations, promoting an integrated vision of reality.
Language of instruction: Portuguese and English
The predominant language of instruction is Portuguese, with some courses taught in English. The English language is increasingly important in the business world and is now an essential requirement for any professional in the areas of Law and Management.
Furthermore, one of the objectives of the Double Degree in Law and Management program is to train professionals who are qualified to work not only in Portugal (or in Portuguese-speaking countries), but also in any other part of the world . In this sense, the investment that Universidade Católica has made in teaching in English is in line with the expectations of the job market. Thus, each student is required, throughout the Double Degree Program, to pass three curricular units taught in English, namely: English for Law and Business, Public International Law and Strategy. In addition to these, other subjects may be taught in English.
