About

At Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Porto Faculty of Law we offer a truly differentiated education: demanding and focused on the student, on their academic and personal development. We are the first law school in Porto and the Northern region, we anticipate the implementation of the Bologna Declaration and constantly innovate with teaching solutions that promote student success. To this end, we have our own highly qualified faculty, scientifically and pedagogically. At Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Porto Faculty of Law, we train students for a rigorous knowledge of the subjects and a creative use of legal reasoning. We develop their transversal skills (communication, teamwork, negotiation...), which are essential for the proper exercise of the legal professions. Finally, we stimulate their ethical and cultural development, forming citizens who make a difference.

      If you are an exchange student coming from outside of the European Union you are required to obtain a visa for your period of stay in Portugal.

      Students participating in study programs, student exchange, training, unpaid internship or volunteer work purposes should apply for a temporary stay visa.

      Temporary stay visas allow entry and stay in Portugal for less than a year. They are valid during the entire stay and allow for multiple entries.

      The Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Porto, has no specific support service regarding visas. For visa related matters, we suggest you refer to your situation in your first contacts with the International Office.
