Introduction

The UPC offers the degree in Gastronomy and Culinary Management, with the mission of training honest and innovative professionals to lead sustainable culinary and gastronomic development, which allows planning and managing economically profitable gastronomic projects and training the best chefs and businessmen, offering them the tools necessary to represent our culinary identity and create our own styles with solid arguments. Based on a differentiated curriculum and personalized teaching, and with the participation of local and international specialists, this program has a multidisciplinary approach, covering different study areas associated with the art of cooking. This involves different fields: from research, science and the analysis of our culture and history to the uses and techniques that set international trends.

For the UPC, knowledge of each element of the process that integrates the kitchen activity is essential: producers, cooks, managers and businessmen. We are firmly convinced that only by reviewing each link in this chain in detail will we achieve a kitchen with real foundations.
