Introduction

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico includes in its academic offer the bachelor's degree in Primary Education (bilingual) in order to respond to the needs and training interests of those students who wish to practice the profession of teacher in Primary Education (mandatory stage between 6 and 12 years) in public, concerted and / or private schools.

Primary Education constitutes a field of professionalization and of unquestionable scientific interest throughout the world. In this sense, UNEATLANTICO offers a study plan fully adjusted to the demands of the labor market and adapted to the characteristics of today's society: multilingual, global and digital.

Characteristics of the degree in Primary Education (bilingual) of UNEATLANTICO:

  • Bilingual curriculum. The future teacher reaches a C1 level in English during his training with the aim that at the end of his studies he will be able to teach any subject in this language.
  • Curricular teaching practices throughout the four years of the degree. Their objective is to develop professional skills in training teachers as important as emotional intelligence: their self-awareness and regulation; reflective practice; as well as enabling them to carry out supervised teaching interventions in real educational contexts and the elaboration of proposals for improvement and innovation.

Currently, one of the essential tools in international communication, and the key that opens the possibilities to find a good job both in Spain and abroad, is English. That is why at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico students of all grades, from the second year study English as a compulsory subject, and from the third year they also take full courses in this language.

So that the previous level of English does not pose a barrier to access to studies, UNEATLANTICO provides personalized teaching, especially during the first year, so that all students achieve sufficient language skills in English with which to successfully pass the subjects of the career.
