Introduction

Law 39/2006 of December 14, on the Promotion of Personal Autonomy and Care for People in Dependency, was born to respond to one of the inescapable challenges in our society: the care of dependent people and the guarantee to have quality, protective and fully universal social protection services.

In addition, the Law focused its Title II on measures to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the System for Autonomy and Care for Dependency (SAAD) with the development of quality plans and evaluation systems, and with special attention to training and qualification of professionals and caregivers .

The University Master's Degree in Dependency, MUDE, is created with the purpose of improving the specific training of professionals in the field of Dependency from a comprehensive and multidisciplinary perspective, attending not only to social needs, but also to managerial, psychological, health and educational needs. , in turn promoting research in the field of Dependency.
