The overall objective of the Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Primary Education is to train professionals with the scientific knowledge necessary to understand, interpret, analyze and explain human behavior, as well as with the skills and abilities to assess and intervene in the individual and social sphere in order to promote and improve health and quality of life.
This, combined with the professional training promoted from the educational field, allows the student to find synergies between fields to implement and improve teaching and learning processes in school contexts, specifically in primary classrooms, with students aged 6 to 12.

The Primary Education degree provides an understanding of the importance of educational issues; social and ethical commitment to the profession; scientific curiosity; sensitivity to cultural knowledge in general; an open mind to change, improvement, and the use of technological and digital resources; adequate oral and written expression skills; and a desire to learn about and investigate diverse subjects and acquire skills related to their comprehension, interpretation, and professional application: interpersonal and communication skills, curiosity, critical thinking, autonomy, teamwork skills, stress tolerance, creativity, initiative, and adaptability to change, among others.

Graduates in Psychology and Education have numerous career opportunities. Among them, the following should be noted:
- Educational psychology offers psychological support and guidance to educational institutions (mainstream, special education, and educational centers), focusing on students, families, and the educational community, in addition to the work carried out in private practices and institutions. Its objective is the analysis of and intervention in human behavior within educational settings, through the development of the capacities of individuals, groups, and institutions. Furthermore, it addresses all psychological processes that affect or derive from learning, regardless of their personal, group, social, health-related, or athletic origin, taking responsibility for the educational implications of its professional intervention and coordinating, when necessary, with other professionals.
- Primary Education teachers can carry out their professional activity in the following contexts: a) teacher in schools with IB® certification b) teacher in public and private Primary Education centers c) teacher in children's hospitals d) teacher in public bodies focused on childhood and child care e) teacher in NGOs dedicated to children
Other career paths for graduates in Psychology include:
- Clinical and health psychology , in areas such as mental health, oncology, cardiovascular health, and pain management, allows professionals to work in hospitals and mental health centers, specialized centers of various kinds, and private practices. It involves applying the principles, techniques, and scientific knowledge developed by psychology to evaluate, diagnose, explain, treat, modify, and prevent anomalies, disorders, or any other behavior relevant to health and illness processes in the various contexts (individual, group, community, institutional, etc.) in which they may occur.
- Psychology in the legal and forensic procedural field aims to study the behavior of legal actors within the framework of law and justice. It carries out its functions in Family and Juvenile Courts, as well as in prisons and juvenile detention centers, performing tasks such as evaluation, diagnosis, mediation, and intervention.
- Social psychology and psychosocial intervention emerged as a response to the need to analyze and address problems in interpersonal relationships within their diverse social contexts. Traditionally linked to social services, it now also seeks to improve quality of life and well-being by reducing or preventing situations of social and personal risk. These risk situations are related to basic needs such as subsistence, social interaction and integration, participation, access to information and social resources, equal opportunities, non-discrimination, and social exclusion. It intervenes with at-risk youth, drug addicts, people with addictive behaviors, and provides care for the elderly, ethnic minorities, and other groups.
- Industrial-organizational psychology deals with work, business, and labor relations, in areas such as recruitment, training, and employee health. It is fundamental in Human Resources departments. This branch of psychology is also practiced by external and independent consultants.
